Richard (Rick) Kaiser is an associate in the Firm's real estate department.
Mr. Kaiser has extensive experience representing large development companies, private REITs and retail companies in real estate transactions involving lifestyle centers, enclosed regional malls, entertainment centers, power centers, neighborhood centers, office buildings and industrial projects. Mr. Kaiser also has expertise in negotiating and drafting leases of all types (including big box ground leases,) purchase and sale agreements, site development agreements, CC&Rs, REAs, OEAs, and easements.
Mr. Kaiser was born and raised in the Lansing, Michigan area. He received his B.A. from the University of Michigan in 1985 (with distinction) and his J.D. and M.B.A. from the Indiana University School of Law and Indiana University School of Business (Bloomington, IN), respectively, in 1989.
Mr. Kaiser is a member of the State Bar of California (Real Property Section) and the International Council of Shopping Centers. Mr. Kaiser co-authored Retail Leasing, a comprehensive two-volume manual on negotiating retail leases that was published in 2007 by CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar-California.)
