Glaser Weil is pleased to announce that Julie R. F. Gerchik and Garland A. Kelley have been recognized as “Top Litigators & Trial Lawyers” by the Los Angeles Business Journal.

The business publication defines ‘litigator’ as a “special breed that needs to transcend expert comprehension of the legal system,” and that’s what these two notable attorneys display both in their practice and as partners within the Firm. 

Honored for their unique set of skills and for being the attorneys you’d want in your corner, these two have gone above and beyond their legal practice to earn this accolade.

Julie Gerchik, a litigation partner has had an impact on the infrastructure of the Firm. She is the current head of recruiting in her department and chair of the diversity and inclusion committee. Ms. Gerchik has made it her mission to take charge and advance the Firm culturally. She has developed a number of initiatives to benefit both the Firm and community, including an internal D&I newsletter and book club, new recruiting efforts, and various educational webinars and panels. 

Garland A. Kelley, a securities litigator with more than 25 years of experience consulting with, and litigating for, exceptional clients around the world recently co-created the Firm’s newest practice group, the crisis management & response department. Aligned with Freeh Sporkin & Sullivan, LLP (“FSS”) and Freeh Group International Solutions, LLC (“FGIS”), the group is capable of deploying vast resources and experience as a combined legal and investigative powerhouse focused on risk management, investigations, and comprehensive representation in highly complex and strategic matters.
