Meritas Recognizes Barry Fink with Prestigious Grahovac Award
On April 21, 2017, Barry Fink, Partner and Chair of Glaser Weil’s Tax and International Business Transactions Practice, was honored as a 2017 Grahovac Award recipient. This recognition of exceptional service, leadership and dedication is presented to an outstanding Meritas lawyer each year at its Annual Meeting.
Mr. Fink has championed the Meritas organization within Glaser Weil, with Firm clients and potential clients, and across the organization for more than two decades. He served as a Board Member from 2004 until 2011, and was on the Membership Committee (2008-2009 and 2009-2010) and the Global Strategy Committee (2010-2011). Even after his Board service ended, Mr. Fink stayed active serving on the Chair-Elect Nominating Committee in 2012 and 2014. He has mentored and guided many of the organization’s current leaders, ensuring that Meritas would not only adapt to changes in the legal environment to stay at the forefront of the industry but also help shape those developments.
Meritas is an established invitation-only global alliance of more than 180 independent, full-service and top-rated law firms in more than 85 countries with a total of nearly 7,500 member attorneys. Firms must undergo a comprehensive quality control process, not only to first become members but on a regular basis to maintain their involvement. Glaser Weil has been a member Firm for more than 20 years.
Mr. Fink manages an exceptionally active and dynamic practice with a significant emphasis in negotiating and structuring international business transactions, particularly those involving multinational corporations. In addition to this honor, he has also been named one of Los Angeles’s 100 Most Influential Attorneys by Los Angeles Magazine, and is recognized by Southern California Super Lawyers and Best Lawyers in America.
