Variety Profiles Glaser, Rubin and Basinger in its 2018 Legal Impact Report
Glaser Weil Partners Patricia Glaser, Barbara Rubin and Jill Basinger were honored among the world’s top entertainment attorneys working in film, television, theater and digital media in Variety’s 2018 Legal Impact Report, which appeared in its April 17th issue.
Ms. Glaser and Ms. Basinger were among the leading litigators while Ms. Rubin was among the foremost transactional attorneys selected. This annual report recognizes attorneys who have played critical roles in the legal matters that shaped the entertainment industry over the last year.
Patricia Glaser, head of Glaser Weil’s Litigation Department, has long served as one of the entertainment industry’s preeminent trial lawyers. For the fifth consecutive year, Variety has named her to its Legal Impact Report, recognizing her impressive list of clients, including Harvey Weinstein in arbitration over employment termination, Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions, ITV America, Olympics gold-medal snowboarder Shaun White, boxing trainer Freddie Roach and Conan O’Brien and his production company. Ms. Glaser was also recently named “Business Leader of the Year” in the Services category by Los Angeles Business Journal.

This is the fourth consecutive year Variety has honored Ms. Rubin on its list noting such clients as production/management company Anonymous Content; Martin Sheen; Alison Sweeney for acting and producing; writer-producer Jeff Melvoin; writer-producer Bruce Zimmerman; and Scripps TV station group.
