At Glaser Weil, ensuring we have a work environment that is welcoming and includes all people are core principles at the forefront of our practice. The Firm’s commitment to foster an inclusive and supportive culture is fundamental to our success. Glaser Weil’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee steers the Firm’s efforts to create an inclusive workplace, which we define as a work environment where all people, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status or any other protected class are welcome, and our dedication to these values is reflective of our ability to forge ahead as a best-in-class law firm.
We have several important mechanisms in place to promote inclusion in our Firm and the legal industry overall. The strategic imperatives of Glaser Weil’s DEI program are organized around three key pillars: internal initiatives, external programs and fair recruiting.
Internal Initiatives
Driving positive change in our workplace is essential to Glaser Weil’s overall DEI efforts. We endeavor to provide our employees with access to resources that will drive their personal and professional growth and strengthen both our organization and our ability to provide top-notch client work. Examples of Glaser Weil’s internal DEI programming include hosting in-office educational events, organizing an internal book club, and producing and distributing a monthly newsletter focused on inclusion of all persons, celebrating and appreciating all of our diverse backgrounds.
External Programs
Actively participating in DEI efforts in the legal community is very important to Glaser Weil. Our participation in industry events focused on educating and celebrating DEI is a top priority of our program. Examples of our engagement include membership in various local and state organizations purposed to provide training and opportunities for attorneys of various backgrounds and cultures, hosting external events centered on the achievements and insights of diverse groups, and speaking at and sponsoring conferences focused on inclusion. Our attorneys are regularly recognized for their leadership ensuring all people feel included and have access to opportunities in the legal industry.
Fair Recruiting
We understand the importance of creating an environment where people that reflect the diversity in our world would desire to work at Glaser Weil. Ensuring we are attracting high caliber talent from all areas of our society is important to our organization and will better serve our clients’ needs.
