Business Development, Marketing and Communications Coordinator
The Opportunity
We are seeking a talented coordinator to support Glaser Weil’s dynamic business development, marketing and communications team. The successful candidate will assist in developing and executing strategic initiatives to support internal and external stakeholders, aimed at advancing the Firm’s growth. This diverse role offers hands-on experience and an excellent opportunity to build skills in business development, marketing and communications.
The ideal candidate will possess exceptional writing and research abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple projects across various workstreams. They will collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and team members while demonstrating strong judgment, project management and organizational skills. A discerning approach to aligning individual priorities with broader growth goals and ROI is essential. The candidate should be self-motivated, detail-oriented and exhibit a positive, proactive attitude.

This position may be remote, with the option to work from our Century City office in Los Angeles. The role reports to the Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research on key clients, industries and competitors to support business development, including preparing prospective company dossiers for pitches.
- Respond to requests for business development materials, such as bios, practice descriptions, brochures, pitch books and presentations.
- Assist in creating client proposals and RFP responses, including drafting, editing, proofreading and attorney follow-up.
- Maintain and update the Firm’s experience database by collecting attorney input and drafting descriptions of significant matters.
- Organize and track collateral materials, representative matter lists, client lists and other key developments in the team’s databases.
- Utilize software platforms to support strategic growth, updating trackers and project plans for various initiatives.
- Track and analyze business development opportunities, including proposals, wins, losses and ROI.
- Conduct market research related to seminars, publications, forums and attorney speaking engagements.
- Coordinate the production and distribution of client alerts, newsletters and LinkedIn updates.
- Maintain and update the Firm’s website.
- Draft internal and external announcements, such as client successes, speaking engagements, press releases and awards.
- Ensure all work adheres to the Firm’s style guide and proofread all external-facing materials.
- Use templates to design LinkedIn posts, sponsorship ads and more.
- Assist with event and conference sponsorship coordination.
- Prepare and submit award and ranking submissions.
- Support diversity and pro bono initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Two years of experience, ideally in professional services, with a focus on business development, marketing or communications.
- Strong client service, professionalism and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of going above and beyond to deliver exceptional service.
- Excellent research, analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide thoughtful analysis and solutions.
- Exceptional writing skills, able to present information clearly, concisely and persuasively.
- Able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, consistently meeting deadlines.
- Resourceful and quick to learn new skills; proactive and self-motivated.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong editorial and proofreading skills.
- Collaborative team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Ability to adjust work schedules based on workload demands.
- Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Canva, Photoshop and web-based research.
The base compensation range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. These numbers do not reflect a successful candidate’s total compensation. Base compensation is only the guaranteed component of the total compensation package and does not include discretionary bonuses.
