Senior Legal Talent Manager
The Opportunity
Glaser Weil is seeking a Senior Legal Talent Manager to manage recruitment, onboarding, integration, development and retention for associates and lateral partners.
Responsibilities:
Implement and lead comprehensive recruitment and onboarding efforts for lateral associates and partners, including:
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies in collaboration with the Chief Business Development and Marketing Officer and Senior Business Development and Marketing Manager
- Provide prompt, professional and precise responses to inquiries from applicants and search firms
- Cultivate and grow strong partnerships with search firms
- Oversee candidate management, including tracking applications, scheduling interviews and gathering feedback
- Manage the attorney offer process, from making recommendations to and obtaining approval from internal stakeholders to drafting offer letters and conducting due diligence (e.g., reference, background and conflicts checks and attorney bar admission status)
- Ensure accurate and timely management of recruitment-related expenses
Support critical integration and retention efforts to engage and assist with the development of lateral associates, including:
- Regularly assess associate satisfaction, career progression and workload through check-in sessions with associates and relevant Firm stakeholders
- Serve as a liaison between associates and management/Firm leaders to address morale-related issues and concerns
- Collaborate with the Associate Development Committee and marketing team to plan special events and programming
- Work with partners to identify high-performing associates and those facing challenges, facilitating timely mentoring, training and interventions, as needed
- Partner with management to design and implement associate skills enhancement programs and professional development initiatives
Additional responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date recruiting database
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create and update recruiting materials and manage the careers section of the website
- Deliver training sessions to attorneys on the Firm’s recruiting policies, interviewing protocols and best practices
- Supervise and mentor team members, as needed
Competencies:
- A self-starter with meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills and a proactive approach, demonstrating initiative and accountability while fostering teamwork
- Proficient in time management, able to multitask effectively
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, including attentive listening and clear verbal and written communication
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information and departmental records
- Exemplary professionalism with the capacity for initiative, diplomacy and tactful interaction
- Ability to communicate effectively across various stakeholders
- Demonstrated leadership and supervision abilities
Skills and experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 7+ years of experience in attorney recruiting, talent management or another human resources discipline
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, iManage and other HR/recruiting software
- Ability to work extended and/or weekend hours, as required

The base compensation range for this position is $150,000 - $180,000. Compensation will be dependent on applicable experience and skillset of the candidate. These numbers do not reflect a successful candidate’s total compensation. Base compensation is only the guaranteed component of the total compensation package and does not include discretionary bonuses and the other career-enhancing opportunities of joining the Firm.
