Why Glaser Weil?
Looking for a firm where you can build a career learning from and growing with some of the most talented legal minds in the country? Learn more about what sets Glaser Weil apart.
Associate Development
Associates are given hands-on training with an opportunity to participate actively in client work. The large number of trials and arbitrations the Firm handles enables litigation associates to prepare for trial, present evidence and interact with witnesses, judges and juries. Similarly, the Firm includes associates in all phases of business transactions and encourages them to communicate with clients and assist in developing their negotiation strategies. Associates are given a genuine opportunity to thrive within a true merit system. Upon joining the Firm, associates are assigned a mentor to help guide them through the onboarding process and to ensure a successful assimilation into the Firm.
Pathway to Partnership
At Glaser Weil, we invest in our people. The best way for an associate to become a partner is to think and act like a partner and to take a proprietary interest in the Firm’s practice. The Firm has a flexible partnership track, dependent on the particular attorney's development and contribution.
Business Development
The Firm fully encourages laterals and associates, alike, to bring in new clients with the potential for growth and development. Attorneys are encouraged to work with our Business Development and Marketing professionals to build a business plan and contribute to the Firm’s broader growth objectives.
Diversity
Glaser Weil is an equal opportunity employer. The Firm does not discriminate against applicants or employees on the basis of race, creed, color, age, sex, national origin, ancestry, religion, marital status, pregnancy, medical condition, sexual orientation, gender, genetic make-up, physical disability, mental disability, military service or other legally protected classifications.
Meaningful Work
Glaser Weil is called upon regularly to represent high-quality clients in complex matters which are geographically diverse and often critical to the client’s mission or bottom-line. For a midsize firm, Glaser Weil’s attorneys consistently outperform much larger law firms. Our attorneys operate in leaner teams which results in deeper experience and rewarding work. All of our attorneys are integral to our success.
Sought-After Clients
As one of the country’s premier full-service law firms, Glaser Weil is called upon regularly to represent clients in high-stakes, and often highly publicized, complex and sophisticated business deals and lawsuits. We are consistently chosen to represent diverse and selective clients—including disruptive startups, multinational corporations and high-profile individuals—because of our unprecedented level of service and commitment to client interests.
Culture
Camaraderie and close professional relationships increase and foster a team environment. Employees enjoy a business casual, open door atmosphere and an informal management structure. Involvement in community organizations, both locally and beyond, is strongly encouraged.
Benefits
We offer a rewarding career in a supportive, professional environment, as well as an excellent benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision and life insurance, bar association dues, continuing legal education, 401(k) plan, parking, sick leave and unlimited vacation leave.
Compensation and Billable Hours
Glaser Weil emphasizes a merit-based approach to compensation, rewarding excellent lawyering, initiative, creativity and great results rather than a lock-step system or a system based solely on the number of hours billed.
Commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
At Glaser Weil, diversity, equity and inclusion are core principles at the forefront of our practice. The Firm’s commitment to foster an inclusive and supportive culture is fundamental to our success. We understand the importance of reflecting the diversity of today’s world within our own organization and how important doing so is to our clients. Glaser Weil’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Committee steers the Firm’s efforts to create a diverse and inclusive workplace.
Glaser Weil strongly encourages attorneys to apply who would contribute to the diversity of the firm and the profession, and further enhance Glaser Weil’s culture of inclusion.
