Glaser Weil Attorneys Contribute to IR Global Guide for In-House Counsel on Digital Asset Invesments
Glaser Weil attorneys Aaron Allan, Aman Badyal, James Grant and Lori Livingston contributed to IR Global's January 2023 edition of "A Global Guide for In-House Counsel: Doing Business in a Rapidly Changing World." The compilation of articles discussed a variety of topics stemming from the emergence of new digital technologies creating commercial opportunities and fast-changing macroeconomic issues like the climate crisis, political unrest and economic volatility – and offered practical guidance for global in-house counsel navigating a challenging landscape.
Allan, Badyal, Grant and Livington answered three questions concerning legal developments in the crypto and NFT spaces:
- What are the biggest investment opportunities in digital – and how can clients decide on the best entry point for them?
- Crypto can be a volatile market: how do you advise your clients to mitigate risk when trading in digital currencies?
- How is your jurisdiction managing the legal challenges of NFTs: for instance, taxation on purchases, IP, ownership and theft?
The Glaser Weil team also proposed top tips for exploring digital asset investments.
