Peter Sheridan Authors Article on Legal Considerations For Use of Robotics in Construction

Peter Sheridan, Partner and Chair of Glaser Weil’s Construction Practice Group, authored an article for Construction Executive focused on legal questions raised by the use of robots in construction projects.

Sheridan writes that “while the industry is still catching up to other industries in the sophistication of its robots, there are already many useful robots on the market and in daily use.” Sheridan makes a case for leaning into the trend—which he notes is driving a significant infusion of capital—but cautions readers to ask critical questions and offers three critical legal scenarios to consider when doing so.

Sheridan represents owners, developers, architects and government entities in California, Nevada and internationally, and is the current President of the Construction Lawyers Society of America. He litigates and tries cases in all courts and before JAMS and AAA on a variety of issues, including construction close-out and defects, design error, delay, and related construction disputes.
