Glaser Weil Secures Win for LA County in Tax Case Against Time Warner

Glaser Weil is pleased to announce a major victory for our client, the County of Los Angeles. Cable company Time Warner was challenging the County Assessor's method of valuing its cable franchises, the same method used by every county assessor in California. On July 19, the Second District Court of Appeal issued a published opinion in this extremely important tax case that upheld the County's method of valuing these cable franchises, the primary issue on appeal.

Glaser Weil’s representation of the County was led by Elizabeth Chilton with assistance from Andrew Baum.

Law360 details this case in its July 20, 2018 article, “Calif. Court Revives Time Warner Tax Fight With LA County.”
