Julie R. F. Gerchik Joins the Litigation Department of Glaser Weil

Glaser Weil LLP is pleased to announce that Julie R. F. Gerchik has joined the Firm’s Litigation Department as Of Counsel in its Century City office. Ms. Gerchik concentrates on litigating financial institutions matters and complex business litigation disputes. She has considerable experience in all aspects of motion practice, discovery, mediation and trial and arbitration work. Her clients include major domestic and international financial institutions, private equity firms, hedge funds, real estate investors and developers, and the entertainment industry.

Over the course of Ms. Gerchik’s career she also has been involved in a wide range of pro bono matters, including a Holocaust reparations project, drafting a Bill of Rights for a newly created government, leading the representation of a group of low-income individuals in a slumlord action and several guardianship cases.

Ms. Gerchik serves on the Executive Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association’s Litigation Section, on the Board of Governors of Women Lawyers Association of Los Angeles, and is a past board member of Bet Tzedek and still involved in Bet Tzedek’s New Leadership Council.

Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Ms. Gerchik was a litigator with Latham & Watkins for over a decade.

Ms. Gerchik earned her B.A. from UC Berkeley, her M.Sc. from the London School of Economics, her law degree from Oxford University, and her LLM from New York University School of Law. She is a dual citizen of both the United States and Great Britain, and is admitted to both the California and New York bars.
