Overview
Marinna Chang Radloff is an Intellectual Property and Commercial Litigation Associate in Glaser Weil’s Century City office.
Marinna has experience in USPTO IPR proceedings, ITC Investigations and all stages of clients’ federal patent, trademark and copyright litigation cases, including trial. She has represented numerous Fortune 500 clients in complex multi-patent litigation matters in district court, at the Federal Circuit and before the ITC. In addition, Marinna has litigated commercial business disputes involving breach of contract, class action and unfair competition claims. She also frequently counsels her clients on patent prosecution, trademark prosecution and IP portfolio management.

Prior to joining Glaser Weil, Marinna practiced law at two AmLaw 10 firms in Palo Alto, CA.
Marinna earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she served as the President of the Social Justice Coalition and the Biotech Law Club and was a student researcher for Professor Colleen V. Chien, a UC Berkeley School of Law Professor and former White House Intellectual Property advisor under the Obama Administration. Marinna was also selected during law school by former Secretary of Defense, Leon E. Panetta, to be a fellow at the Panetta Institute of Public Policy in Monterey, CA. While there, she drafted white papers on the state of current policies regarding the American health care system.
At Santa Clara, Marinna earned a high tech law certificate, with an IP specialization and received the ABA-BNA award for excellence in IP law. She was the 2018 AIPLA Giles S. Rich patent moot court competition first-place winner for the West Region, and was a 2017 SCU Law honors moot court finalist, named “Best Oral Advocate” in the finals round.
Marinna’s volunteer and pro bono contributions have been extensive and include: Humanitarian Parole for Afghan Evacuees; Stanford Law School’s 1170(d) prison re-sentencing program; ACLU’s ICE-detention compassionate release initiative during COVID; Special Immigrant Juvenile Status representation in federal immigration court for child refugees; discharge upgrade litigation with Veteran’s Affairs for wrongfully discharged Vietnam War veterans; and domestic violence permanent restraining orders in state court.
Marinna is a notable angel investor via The Helm, a New York City-based venture firm elevating and investing in female entrepreneurs, where she invests in pre-seed and seed rounds for woman-founded startups. As a long-time animal rights advocate, she also serves on the board for several Bay Area and Los Angeles-based animal rescues.
Marinna earned both her B.S. in Chemistry and B.A. in International Studies from the University of San Francisco, where she graduated summa cum laude.

- A Big-7 multinational corporation and technology company in a patent infringement dispute brought by an NPE, namely, winning a venue motion before the Hon. Alan D Albright in the W.D. Tex.*
- A multinational information technology company as lead associate of all discovery matters for four-related district court cases, all of which were ultimately settled, centering on patent infringement of accused printer cartridge technology.*
- A global semiconductor manufacturing company in an international arbitration concerning patent infringement of accused semiconductor technology.*
- A world-leading database management company in a federal copyright software source code infringement and trade secret case.*
- An American designer and seller of ballet flats as a member of a trial team that secured a $2.9 million verdict in a design patent, utility patent, trade dress, unfair competition and false advertising district court case.*
- A California energy company in rectifying numerous contentious discovery disputes and ultimately settling multiple class action lawsuits involving over 35,000 claimants.*
- An international insurance carrier in achieving dismissal of breach of contract and trade secret claims brought by a competitor.*
