Overview
Sonia Vucetic is a litigation associate in Glaser Weil’s Employment Practice. She advocates for clients in a broad range of employment-related disputes, including wage and hour class and representative actions, as well as individual actions asserting claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation and wrongful termination.
Sonia has substantial experience developing and executing litigation strategy, leading discovery and fact investigations, drafting and arguing briefs and motions, handling witness interviews, and conducting and advising on workplace investigations. She also counsels clients on myriad labor and employment issues, including personnel policies and procedures and employee discipline matters.
Sonia leverages her experience to achieve favorable results for her clients in pre-complaint, arbitration and litigation settings. She is committed to seeking opportunities for clients to resolve disputes both pre- and post-filing, and has experience negotiating individual and class action settlements.

Before she joined Glaser Weil, Sonia practiced in the labor and employment departments of two AmLaw 10 law firms. She earned her J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif. While in law school, she served on the UCLA Law Review as an editor of the online journal. She was also a member of the UCLA Law Supreme Court Clinic and committee co-chair of OUTLaw. Sonia received a B.A. in art history from Reed College.

Sonia’s notable experience includes her representation of:
- A major healthcare company in a federal wage and hour class action, and in securing an appellate victory for same client on novel issues about a PAGA plaintiff’s right to intervene in a PAGA settlement.*
- A healthcare client in defeating certification of meal and rest period claims in a statewide putative class action.*
- Various clients in negotiating favorable pre-litigation resolutions of single-plaintiff and class action matters.*
- A nationwide nutraceuticals company in successfully defending a single-plaintiff employment arbitration and prevailing at arbitration on all causes of action.*
- Several teenagers who were unlawfully harassed and assaulted by police officers in securing a favorable settlement, which was recognized by the ACLU of Southern California 2021 Civil Liberties Award.*
